Lama Dances (VPR1)
During the Kama empowerments bestowed by H.H. Penor Rinpoche in the summer of 1988 at Tashi Chöling Retreat Center, Ashland, Oregon, the Palyul monks performed a number of lama dances.  This DVD includes the Snow Lion Dance of Auspiciousness, Dakini Dance of Peace, Deer Dance of Subjugation, the Nam Chö tradition Black Hat Offering Dance of the Remains, the Dorje Drak tradition Offering Dance of the Remains to Befriend the Yogins and Yoginis of the Secret Mandala, the Dance of the Golden Drink.  It ends with footage of lama dances performed at H.H. Penor Rinpoche’s monastery in Byalakuppe, India, recorded during the 1986 Gutor ceremony: H.H. Penor Rinpoche performs part of the Dance of the Golden Drink, and Tara Lama leads the Cymbal Dance.
